Sometimes an experience says more than words ever can.

 

We love growing and releasing butterflies in our family.

One year, a butterfly emerged with a smaller, crumpled wing. This new butterfly quickly earned a place in our hearts and became known as Flutterbella.

We assumed that Flutterbella would never fly. However, on a beautifully sunny release day – with a big flutter and a little wobble – Flutterbella flew

off into the beautiful blue sky: strong, determined and beautiful!

Flutterbella gave us a clear message that day: never assume someone’s limitations – especially not your own.

 

This thought stuck in our minds…

It mixed with messages that were important in our house at the time…

The messages began rhyming…

The rhymes turned into a poem…

The poem grew into a story that we were compelled to share.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged us to release Flutterbella (the book) into the world. Your kindness and excitement means more to us than you’ll ever know!
